Combating Gender Based Violence and Harassment

Gender Based Violence and Harassment are pervasive challenges that largely impact women and gender non-conforming individuals. My research found that the most effective and helpful ways of combating GBV/H are through community support networks, sharing and learning about personal testimonies and experiences, education on transcending the gender binary, and integration of men and boys into the conversation as listeners and learners. My goal in this project is to incorporate aspects of support and prevention by sharing real life words and experiences from individuals who have experienced Gender Based Violence and Harassment. My hope is for people to see these testimonials around the locations of their occurrence and gain sense of solidarity, empathy, understanding, and accountability around GBH.
