Communion: A Loyola Student Food Blog

11/21/2023

This cookbook is intended to be a window into food, family, and spirituality that exists among Loyola students. It contains both personal stories and recipes from participating students, who skew white and Catholic. The intention was to include students from a wider range of racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, but time constraints limited sampling -- future possibilities for expansion remain. Still, the blog invites readers to explore their own personal locations and bonds to food, family, and spirituality by learning from the locations and bonds of others. Moreover, the recipes included give readers a chance to experience a slice of these locations and bonds by cooking or seeking out foods different from their own. Plus, feeding yourself as a college student is hard, so who couldn't use a little culinary inspiration? From our kitchens to yours, please enjoy Communion: A Loyola Student Cookbook.
